Joan Drescher has explored how art heals the body, mind and spirit for the past twenty years. Her unique and colorful murals answer the need to humanize the healthcare environment and are found in major hospitals throughout the US and Canada. Joan is the Artist in Residence at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. Joan is the author/illustrator of the Moon Balloon book and the Director of the non-profit Moon Balloon Project, Building Healing Bridges for Children Through the Arts in Medicine. She is on the Board of the Society for Arts in Healthcare, a fellow at the Institute for Body, Mind and Spirituality at Lesley University and the author/illustrator of twenty-five children's books. Joan is also the Artist in Residence at the Claritas Institute for Interspiritual Inquiry in Boulder, Colorado.
